From "Lander Love" to love way after Lander
Sean spent many years living on college campuses surrounded by students he was not allowed to date. Sean's precarious love life, and lack thereof, was a favorite topic of RAs on his staff. Attempting to date someone and keep it a secret from your staff is always a challenge but Sean tried.
And failed.
Someone always happened to see him get off the bus with the cute girl and take her to his apartment to presumably share a pint of Ben & Jerry's (bought on campus with his meal plan, of course) and play a round of Yahtzee. What actually happened when they went in to his apartment is unclear but we believe it had something to do with stretching his hip.
After a bit of harassment, eventually he would give up and tell everyone the story of the nice girl he met and a few details that weren't supposed to be inappropriate but when interpreted by 20 year old RAs became insanely awkward. After none of those girls ever stuck around after a few weeks, for his 31 birthday Sean was gifted with a woman shaped object made out of balloons from his staff, kindly left on top of his bed for him when he got home. We figured that at 31 he should have at least something resembling a woman near his bedroom.
Last October I had to witness one of the 'internet dates' between Sean and this girl from Westmont he was dating but not really since they'd only gone on one date. It was terrifying. When I finally met Paige in person I 1) adored her instantly and 2) was really freaked out watching Sean touch a woman and have her like it.
It should go without saying that every RA who has ever worked for Sean is thrilled he has finally found a hot woman to hang out with for the rest of his life who doesn't mind being labeled as a persuader. It helps that Paige is an amazing person with the kindest heart of anyone I've met. Paige brings out the best in a guy that was pretty darn terrific even before August 2008.
PB, a few things to remember once you start waking up next to Sean everyday...
- Sean loves kitchen towels and dislikes paper towels, especially when the kitchen towel is casually thrown over his shoulder.
- Sean gets cranky when he is hungry. Very very cranky.
- Sean can eat faster than you so don't challenge him to an eating contest.
- Sean likes to win.
- Sean does not like clothes that make him look gay. Shopping with him and finding fashionable clothing can get tricky for this reason.
- Sean likes Rice Krispies in large quantities.
- Sean likes things to be in their proper place and yes, everything has a proper place.
- Sean is a good listener but when he meets a nice girl and falls in love with her he will talk your eat off for three days about how terrific she is.
Cheers to S-Dub and what I sincerely hope is an amazing weekend full of embarassing pictures for everyone else to enjoy.

As you all know, "Whity" loves lists and he is the writer between the two of us but I am going to create my own list of things that I love about Sean. PS. this is not an extensive list! :)
1. He is so cute!
2. He loves to sing karaoke with Thai people!!3. He will get pedicures with me!
4. He loves life and all the adventures it holds!
5. He loves family!
6. He loves food from around the world!! (Actually he loves any kind of food)
7. He loves picnics with wine, cheese, meats, and more cheese! (This is our engagement picnic)
This list could really go on forever but the next picture shows how I really feel when I am with Sean. He makes me laugh and enjoy life.
Whity is an amazing man and I am so excited to marry him on the 6th of September 2009! He brings joy and love into my life that I never knew I was missing. God created in him the things I have always wanted and needed. I am so thankful and privileged to be his wife!
I know that he is having a great time in KC with all his guys and I am so thankful that he has as amazing of friends as you all are! Thanks for loving him and preparing him for me! I am forever indebted and will probably be calling you to remind myself that he is the weird one, not me!

The Eagle Has Landed
Whity was just slightly confused - as he was here in Marshalltown, IA - when he arrived in the KC Int. Airport today to find posters of the "Whity Waggle Weekend" logo all over (at the gate, at the Starbucks cash register, in the phone booth, at the shuttle stop, and in the bathroom stall - to name a few) and "hundreds" of people chanting his name and handing him a customized "Whity Waggle" helium balloon. The stretch Harley Davidson limo (the largest Harley Truck Limo in the world, we're told) turned out to definitely not be over the top.

Because you are finally getting married, I foresee many other things following suit. For starters, you finally get to use a condom the way it was intended...instead of selling them on the streets. Not to mention, it's still the age of the automobile so maybe you will finally get one. How else will you get lucky in the back seat? Maybe the Dodgers will finally win a World Series. I would give you all the credit. Next on the list is the Bruins beating USC to claim the Pac-10 title and then advance to win the College Football National Championship. Isn't this long overdue? To cap it off, your book "The Girly Men of Sweden" gets published and becomes a NY Times best seller. Now you don't have to work again...sayanara to the job hunt. Later doo!
